CORONAVIRUS POLICY AT THE LIGHTHOUSE CLINIC
As 23rd March 2020
Information for Parents/Carers
Our therapists have been responding to the daily advice received from Public Health England, NHS and the Royal College of OT. We are committed to support you as a family and the children and young people's emotional wellbeing are our top priority.
However, given the pace of the infection rate and the risks this may involve for you and your family we have taken the decision to cease all face-to-face sessions taking effect on Tuesday, 24th March 2020.
We are communicating with families on a case by case basis that see us on a private basis and are working together with Local Authorities to clarify how to continue treatment, especially with schools closing, on a similar basis.
How we can continue to support you:
We are able to offer online therapy sessions in varying formats and will be in touch with each client individually as to how this will work.
We will be providing regular updates and activities on our Facebook page. (LINK) to support you through this so please follow us there.
We have a closed Facebook support group for parents where we can provide greater specific advice for our LightHouse families and also answer queries or worries that may arise. Please contact email@example.com about linking into this group.
We have also set up a closed kids Facebook group where the children can share ideas about what they are getting up to. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org about linking into this group.
We can continue to provide video and telephone consultations and training.
To compliment the direct video sessions we encourage you to consider signing up to the Coordikids programme which underpins much of what we do targeting motor and sensory skills. They have slashed their prices in support of everyone affected by Covid-19. Please have a look and consider this for your child: https://coordichild.coordikids.com/usa-offer-1/
As a team we have had to learn very quickly and adapt the way that we can continue to meet the needs of the children and young people we work with. It is both an exciting way to look at alternative ways to connect with each other and continue to provide therapeutic interventions to support children and young people who have sensory, motor and emotional needs so please do get in touch.
Take Care and stay safe,
The LightHouse Clinic team x
